Kaş offers a variety of diving experiences to divers at all levels. There are several wrecks, a lively aquatic fauna and ancient amphoras underwater.
What makes Kaş a unique Dive Location are: - Extremely clear waters with more than 30 meters of visibility - More than 20 dive centers operating in Kaş, which means that you will have an opportunity to choose from among many options. - There are more than 30 dive spots, which are at most half an hour boat ride from the main harbor.
It is a big advantage for divers who do prefer to spend half day of diving (2 dives per outing) and half day for other activities or resting.
The best time to dive in Kaş is May-June and September-October.
The high season is between June-September where the water temperature is between 25-30 degrees Celcius. However, the weather might get a little bit too hot especially in July and August and Kaş might be a little too much crowded.
However, Kaş has a sunny weather all year round with ample sunshine (300 days of sunshine annually) and temperate waters. Over 20 dive centers are operating between April - November where both the weather and the sea temperatures are suitable for leisure diving.
Some of the dive centers are operating 12 months of the year. The weather turns rainy in February-March and the water temperature drops to 15 degrees however, still many divers come to enjoy the pristine waters of Kaş all year round.
You can reach Kaş by flying to Dalaman or Antalya airports. Shuttle service from Dalaman takes about 2 hours and 3 hours from Antalya. Although there many more flights to and from the Antalya airport, visitors usually prefer to fly to Dalaman.
It takes about 9-10 hours to drive from Istanbul, or about 5 hours from Izmir.
