Angola lies on the coast of West Africa with a lively, friendly feel. It has a diverse landscape, from snowy mountains, to lush rainforest, to endless untouched beaches.
Most divers head to the coastal capital city of Luanda, with dive trip starting from there to dive sites all along the country’s coast. The coast is made up of islets and inlets, with plenty for divers to explore. At the other end of the country, the Namibe Peninsula throws up several nice dive sites and some stunning beaches: perfect for chilling out on after a dive.
Angola is still an off-the-beaten-track destination, so you don’t need to worry about hordes of other divers disturbing the fish before you get there. Keep an eye out for manta rays, sunfish and sharks.
