Diving in Bulgaria

Explore diving in Bulgaria

With more than 10 dive centers in the city, Sozopol has become the scuba diving capital of Bulgaria. There is a reason for the concentration of so many dive centers in Sozopol and the reason is that most of the popular dive sites in the Bulgarian coastline are located near Sozopol. Take a look at padi.com for the list of PADI dive centers located in Sozopol.

Below are some of the popular dive sites.

Beautiful dive site especially for beginners divers or for divers who would just like to try scuba diving. Entrance is done from shore from the corner of Harmani beach or from the Lagoon nearby. Normally entering the water from the sandy beach is more comfortable, especially for divers without any experience as there is no walking on rocks with the equipment on the back. Max depth is 7 meters.  The dive site is named Seahorse alley as you can spot plenty of seahorses from April to about mid June.
Coral Garden
Coral Garden, also known as Ivan’s Maldives is a dive site with plenty of marine life as the area has natural protection from the local fishermen.
