It was a shallow area close to the coast, because of that all crew members and passengers were saved. The ship was 100 meters long and 11,7 meters wide. The ship cargo consisted of cod, fabrics, barrels of wine, and dyes. Most of the cargo was lost.
The French steamship Bretagne sunk on September 12th 1903 on the same place that twenty seven years before the German steamship Germania sunk. This ship was 87,5 meters long and 11,7 meters wide. This Dive site is for all levels of divers and also for DSD.
