Diving Glasgow

Explore diving Glasgow

Small rocky reefs and silty bottom make up the topography underwater while the teeming marine life in Glasgow's waters vary from Conger Eels, Fish, Crabs, Scallops, Dogfish. Sea otters, seals, and porpoise take home in gullies and archways which are engulfed in soft corals.

Loch Long is a saltwater loch located in Argyll and Bute, Scotland, extending from the Firth of Clyde at its southwestern end. It measures approximately 20 miles (32 km) in length, with a width of between 1 and 2 miles (1.6 and 3.2 km)

The loch is ideal for student divers, new divers and experienced divers alike and offers excellent drysuit diving down to depths of 40+ meters.

When to dive Glasgow

Glasgow is perfect for diving all year round but the best visibility is during the summer months between May and August as this is when runoff from the surrounding hills is less prevalent and light is best.
