Or the caverns, famous and visited from all around the world for the formations that are present inside, and part of the longest system of caves in Italy. Being really shallow and with a lot of dry rooms, they can be visited further than others, always following the safety standards.

When to dive Cala Gonone

The best part of the year when to visit the Gulf is from half of May to the end of October.

The visibility is always perfect, more than 20 meters. The water is between 17 degrees in May  28 degrees in August and September, enough to dive for at least 40 minutes inn a 5mm wetsuit.

The weather is usually good, with about two weeks of bad sea in total during the whole season.

This part of the year is as well the best moment to see barracudas, trigger fishes, groupers, amberjacks, octopus and many other species more rare, like stingrays, tunas, and even mola mola.
