Shallow Zone (0–20 m)
The coast Makarska is known for its calm, exceptionally clear sea and varied shallow underwater terrain. Here you’ll find rocky terraces, small reefs, sandy patches, and scattered Posidonia grasslands.

Reefs & Caves (15–25 m)
Moving slightly deeper, the terrain becomes more dramatic, transitioning into rocky ridges (reefs) and small underwater caves. Light creates beautiful contrasts over the colourful benthic life.
Typical Species
These areas offer excellent conditions for intermediate divers who enjoy exploring natural formations.
Walls & Drop-offs (25–40 m)
At several locations the seabed drops abruptly, forming steep walls covered with vibrant filter-feeders. These vertical faces are among the most visually stunning underwater scenes on Osejava eastern coast.
Marine Life (20–40 m)
Excellent visibility and vertical relief make this zone perfect for experienced divers seeking colourful, dramatic underwater walls.
Morning time is good for diving! Afternoon start west wind waves after 15:00!
Easy follow A1 Highway tunel Sv Ilija ! Roads are good new, signs everywhere!
