The site features a 60-meter-long V-shaped geological channel carved into a hard, rocky substrate, forming a narrow passage that accelerates water flow. This funnelling effect concentrates currents and nutrients, creating a highly productive environment that supports abundant marine life. The channel walls and floor are completely covered by dense growths of soft corals, including extensive colonies of gorgonians, sea whips, and tree corals, forming a complex three-dimensional habitat. These coral communities provide essential shelter, feeding areas, and nursery grounds for a wide range of species. The site supports a high density of reef fish, with multiple grouper species, large schools of snappers, and numerous damselfish and blennies regularly observed throughout the channel. The intricate coral framework also hosts rich macrofaunal diversity, including nudibranchs and various crustaceans that are often well camouflaged among the coral branches.
