It is the most famous site in Sorrento for nature, sea and archeology lovers. It falls within the extreme limit of the Punta Campanella MPA. A small rocky promontory houses the remains of a Roman villa that overlooks the sea and an inlet that creates a natural swimming pool of incredible beauty. The dive from the boat begins or ends in the pool, enjoying the colors created by the light penetrating the channel connected to the sea. The whole area is of great naturalistic interest, full from the first meters of small ravines, populated by all forms of marine life and perfect habitat for octopuses. The limestone wall sinks rapidly and offers suggestive glimpses thanks to small caves and long cracks, and to the colors given by the yellow gorgonians, sponges, spirographs, tunicates, starfish and crinoids. Small fish always present and often shoals of sardines attract various predators such as amberjack and tuna. Some ceramic religious paintings are placed at various depths.
