Manta Point (Nusa Kode) is a world-famous manta ray cleaning & feeding station off Nusa Kode Island, Komodo National Park—a UNESCO site with reliable year-round manta sightings. Depth 5–15m (shallow cleaning stations), moderate to strong currents; best for intermediate+ divers & snorkelers, ideal for wide-angle photography. The site features a shallow plateau & rocky slopes where plankton-rich currents concentrate, attracting reef manta rays (Mobula alfredi) with wingspans up to 7m. Mantas gather at cleaning stations, letting wrasses remove parasites—divers observe their graceful gliding, barrel rolls, and social behaviors. Marine life: schools of trevally, fusiliers, and snappers; blacktip/whitetip reef sharks, hawksbill turtles, and eagle rays; seasonal dolphins & occasional whales. Visibility 10–30m (best Oct–Apr), with sunlight highlighting mantas’ spotted bellies. A bucket-list site—one of few places to reliably see multiple mantas in one dive.
