Gili Tepekong is one of Bali’s most thrilling and awe-inspiring dive sites, located just offshore from Candidasa on the island’s east coast. Known as the "Shark Point" among divers, Tepekong features a dramatic underwater landscape of steep walls, deep canyons, and sprawling coral gardens. Strong currents and surge can create exciting drift dives, making it a site recommended for experienced divers. The marine life is outstanding, with frequent sightings of white-tip reef sharks, schooling trevallies, giant groupers, and vibrant reef fish. During certain seasons, lucky divers might even spot elusive mola mola (sunfish) in the cooler waters. The coral formations here are healthy and colorful, offering hiding spots for a variety of macro life as well. With its raw natural beauty and the chance for big encounters, Gili Tepekong delivers a dive experience that is both adrenaline-pumping and breathtaking.
