Elphinstone’s hallmark is its sheer walls carpeted in colorful soft corals (Dendronephthya) and sea fans, thriving in strong currents. The north plateau (20–40 m) is the premier spot for scalloped hammerheads and grey reef sharks, with upwellings attracting pelagics. The south plateau features a gentle slope, dense soft coral gardens, and a scenic archway at 65 m—ideal for macro and wide-angle photography.
