Munkholm Bridge – lively dive in Isefjorden Munkholm Bridge connects east and west in Isefjorden and offers shallow, easily accessible beach dives with good biodiversity and permanent parking. The dive starts from the beach – approx. 30 meters shallow before dropping to 5–7 meters. Dive north, south or under the bridge: the south is hilly, the north more flat. The bridge piers are rich in sea urchins, sea urchins and mussels, and you can swim through them if you have good buoyancy. The bottom is covered in starfish and mussels – be gentle with fin strokes. In spring, male stonefish are often seen, and all year round you can find nudibranchs, cod, flounder, eelpout and maybe seals. The bridge hides exciting finds – but also garbage, so a mesh bag might make sense. Best visibility in winter.
