Description

Red Beryl is a beautiful dive site on the south coast of Bonaire. The site is right next to Atlantis, the designated kite surfing beach sectioned off with buoys, it is advised to dive this site before 10:00 or after 16:00, and with caution on days with high winds and kite surfers present. Sending up a DSMB before ascending at the end of your dive is advised. This site is easily accessible from a sandy beach and the designated entry point is at the large rock on the shore’s edge. There is a shallow rock plateau lined with fire coral just as you enter the water, beyond the fire coral wall is a sandy bottom that you can follow to the nearby reef. It is recommended to swim out to the reef and turn north/right and dive along healthy sloping reef, covered in varieties of hard and soft coral. The abundance of gorgonians on this reef make it a beautiful sight to dive. This site can be enjoyed at all depths and attracts a variety of marine life!
