This man made reef is located a couple of hundred meters offshore and gets it's name from the resident Lionfish. Artificial reef structures were put in place around 20 years ago and they are now covered in coral and marine life.
The reef it's self is quite small, you can easily explore it all in one dive. Enter the water straight our from the access ramp and descend down the sloping bottom. Dive out to sea until you reach approximately 8m deep. You will see the sea grass end and a sandy silt…

The reef it's self is quite small, you can easily explore it all in one dive. Enter the water straight our from the access ramp and descend down the sloping bottom. Dive out to sea until you reach approximately 8m deep. You will see the sea grass end and a sandy silty bottom appear. Head right (east) following the edge of the sea grass until you find the artificial reef.
The reef is between 7-9 meters deep however it is possible to explore deeper.
