Elsa's Reef
Overview
Description
Elsa's reef is an artificial reef located north of Rye Pier. Constructed by divers it has become a haven to many aquatic creatures, in particular Octopus and Tassled Anglerfish. Elsa's reef has grown in popularity over the years and has become a staple of diving Rye pier. It has also featured in a number of documentaries, including an up and coming National Geographic documentary due to release April 2024.
