The prime scuba diving season in Taba spans from March to June and September through November, when water temperatures hover between 24°C and 28°C (75°F–82°F), delivering comfortable conditions and optimal visibility. These months offer calm seas and pleasant weather, perfect for extended underwater adventures. Summer months (July–August) can be hotter, with water temperatures reaching 30°C (86°F), making for warm, enjoyable dives, albeit with more intense sun exposure. Winter (December–February) is cooler and quieter, with water temperatures dropping to about 22°C (72°F), attracting divers who prefer fewer crowds and tranquil dive sites.
Taba is accessible via Taba International Airport (TCP), with direct domestic flights from Cairo, Egypt’s main international gateway. From the airport, a short taxi or shuttle ride brings travelers to nearby dive resorts and the marina. International visitors often fly into Cairo International Airport (CAI) and then take a domestic flight to Taba or opt for a scenic 6 to 7-hour road trip along the Sinai Peninsula. Taba is also reachable by sea from neighboring Jordan through the international Marina in Taba heights, and also through Eilat/Taba land border, making it convenient for travelers combining excursions between countries. Local transport options include private transfers, taxis, and buses, ensuring smooth, hassle-free travel to the heart of Egypt’s Red Sea diving paradise.
