Located on the Calumpan Peninsula, Mabini Batangas diving is best known as the gateway to Anilao, one of the Philippines’ top scuba destinations. The area features steep walls, coral slopes, and sandy bottoms rich in macro life. Divers can expect colorful nudibranchs, frogfish, seahorses, octopus, reef fish, and occasional turtles. Calm coastal waters and short boat rides make diving in Mabini suitable for beginners, while its biodiversity attracts underwater photographers and experienced divers seeking world-class muck diving.
Conditions for scuba diving in Mabini Batangas are good year-round, but the best season runs from November to May, during the dry months. Water temperatures range from 26–30°C (79–86°F), and visibility is typically at its best from December to April. Summer months offer calm seas and excellent macro sightings, while the rainy season from June to October may bring reduced visibility but fewer crowds and continued marine activity.
Most divers arrive via Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL), followed by a 2.5–3 hour drive south to Mabini, Batangas.
