Maceió is the capital of Alagoas state in northeastern Brazil.
Here the average water temperature is 27 º C during all months of the year and in summer (October to May) the visibility of the water reaches up to over 40 meters.
In Maceió we have 4 shipwrecks. One of them are the best shipwrecks in Brazil, called Itapagé. Rays, turtles, groupers, moray eels and several species of fish enchant divers who visit these waters.
The best months for diving in Maceió are from November to April. At this time of year, the sea is calm and the water is crystal clear.
Maceió has an airport, but is not easy to find directly flies. So you can fly to São Paulo or Recife and after to Maceió.
Maceió Airport is located about 25km from Ponta Verde, a region with several hotels and the dive center. The route to this area can be done with taxis and with Uber, which operates in the capital of Alagoas.
