Sint Michielbaai is a former fishing village in Willemstad. Small fishing boats are well moored to buoys. Through the crystal clear waters you can see the shadow of the boats on the ocean floor. A swim from the coast to the reef wall takes about 5-10 minutes where you can spot sea turtles and seahorses. Once you get to the reef and feel the current, you can see a completely different kind of ocean fish and creatures. The limited water on the coast with almost no waves gives you the relaxation you need to start your dive. A large Floater Buoy in the middle of the bay (for large vessels) serves as a great reference point for returning to shore at the end of the dive.
Curaçao as a tropical destination can be visited all year round. The water temperature is between 24C/75F to 29C/84F
The Sint Michiel bay is located on the south side of the Bullenbaai bay on the west coast of Curaçao. It is located 10 kilometers (6.2 mi) northwest of the island's city center. If you follow the signs for Bullenbaai and then the signs to Sint Michiel you will arrive directly at the bay.
