Diving Paraty

Explore diving Paraty

Scuba diving in Paraty offers a unique blend of stunning underwater scenery and rich biodiversity along Brazil’s Costa Verde. The region features vibrant coral reefs, underwater caves, and abundant marine species including colorful tropical fish, sea turtles, and spiny lobsters. Dive sites around Ilha Comprida and Camboinhas provide calm waters with excellent visibility, ideal for both beginners and advanced divers. Paraty’s charming colonial town adds cultural appeal to the adventure, making it a top destination for those seeking immersive diving experiences in one of Brazil’s most beautiful coastal areas.

When to dive Paraty

The best time to dive in Paraty is between October and March, when water temperatures are warmer (around 24–28°C) and visibility is at its peak. The summer months, especially December to February, offer ideal conditions with calm seas and vibrant marine life, although these months can be busier. For quieter diving with still excellent conditions, October, November, and March are recommended. The winter months (June to August) bring cooler waters and occasional rough seas, which may affect dive site accessibility. Overall, spring and summer provide the most rewarding scuba diving experience in Paraty.
