Arraial do Cabo is located about 165 km east of Rio de Janeiro, making it easily accessible by road. The nearest major airport is Rio de Janeiro-Galeão International Airport (GIG), which connects with both domestic and international destinations. From the airport, you can reach Arraial in about 2.5 to 3.5 hours via the BR-101 and RJ-140 highways. Buses also operate daily from Rio’s main stations to Arraial. Travelers can also fly into Cabo Frio Airport (CFB), just 15 minutes away, which offers limited regional flights. Once in Arraial do Cabo, most dive operators are located near Praia dos Anjos, the main departure point for boat dives. With its great location and accessible infrastructure, getting to Arraial do Cabo for scuba diving is fast, easy, and scenic.
