Diving Dampier Archipelago

Explore diving Dampier Archipelago

The Dampier Archipelago is the richest area of marine biodiversity known in Western Australia. Many of the islands are surrounded by fringing coral reefs including hard corals,  soft corals and sponge gardens.  You will see an array of marine life ranging from nudibranchs to reef sharks and pelagic fish.

If you are an underwater photographer, the diving in Dampier is suitable for both macro and wide-angle shooting, either way, you won’t be disappointed by the fantastic photography opportunities!

When to dive Dampier Archipelago

Visiting the Dampier Archipelago is possible all year round.

During the dry season of May through to October the water cools to between 21 and 25 degrees celsius and the visibility increases. Humpback Whales frequent the archipelago during the winter months and their song can often be heard whilst diving and snorkelling.
