Isla Muela is a small island located directly in front of Pixvae, only about 2 minutes away by boat from our dive center. This dive site offers several different routes and is suitable for a wide range of experience levels.
Dives usually start on the eastern side of the island, which is generally more protected from currents. From there, divers can swim around the island and often finish the dive at the same entry point, making it a comfortable and safe dive profile.
Common marine life includes sea turtles, whitetip reef sharks, eagle rays, mobula rays, nudibranchs, and large schools of fish gathering around cleaning stations.
Isla Muela is an excellent site for training dives, recreational dives, and night diving. On certain nights, divers may experience bioluminescence, making night dives here especially unique and memorable.
