Top Secret got its name because it lacked a mooring and was known only to a few captains. However, your captain might say it’s named for the shoreline mansions that resemble James Bond villain lairs!
On descent, divers are greeted by a massive Pillar Coral over 10 feet high, with multiple spires. This rare, delicate species is a breathtaking sight, with only a few examples across the Cayman Islands.
Surrounding the main structure are smaller pillars, formed when the colony spawned, and free-floating polyps settled nearby. These baby corals will take decades to reach the size of the main colony, as Pillar Corals grow extremely slowly.
Swim deeper among the sandy channels and reef fingers to spot a rare Sharptail Snake Eel. Despite their name and snake-like shape, these are fish, like other eels. Their spotty skin and goofy expressions make them a favourite find—spot one, and you’ll be a boat legend!
