It features a pronounced ledge starting at 25 feet and dropping to 50 feet. The rubble-strewn bottom is a hotspot for reef critters, including Yellow-Headed Jawfish. Approach low and slow to watch them feeding or tidying their burrows, spitting out mouthfuls of sand.
At 60 feet, a line of coral heads runs east-west. Divers can zigzag between them to admire the stunning hard and soft coral formations. Look for Pike Blennies in the sand—tiny fish poking their pointy noses from burrows. Males defend territory by opening their mouths and raising dorsal fins, revealing a black spot.
On the eastern edge, you’ll find a coral out-planting site with 30-foot PVC “trees” holding baby corals from our nursery. Larger fish have claimed these as their hangout, often inspecting our work as we clean and maintain the site!
