The name of this dive site may be simple, but it’s fitting. The edge of the miniwall is a bustling hub of marine life, resembling a busy underwater city where each inhabitant plays a role.
Just east of the pin, a towering 8–10 foot Pillar Coral stands proudly. Unlike most hard corals, it feeds during the day, using tiny polyps with extended tentacles to catch food. Though it looks fuzzy, it’s incredibly delicate—resist the urge to touch! Given its slow growth, this coral is an ancient wonder.

Nearby, schools of French and Bluestriped Grunts hover in the grooves, creating stunning photo opportunities as they sway with the current.
For the keen-eyed, the shallow hardpan holds tiny Lettuce Sea Slugs, just 1–2 inches long. Their frilly backs resemble lettuce and store algal chloroplasts, allowing them to photosynthesize—earning them the nickname Solar-Powered Slugs!
