A short swim west leads to the namesake cutback, where the wall abruptly shifts at a right angle, creating an optical illusion as if part of the reef has been “deleted.” This sharp edge against the deep blue is mesmerizing and makes for incredible photos.
Look up to see schools of Creole Wrasse silhouetted in the sunlight, and glance down for a chance to spot elusive Black Jacks gliding by. Their curious nature often brings them close to divers.
Breaker’s Cutback is well worth the trip!
