Sasamat Lake is in Belcarra Regional Park in Port Moody. This is a very popular lake in the summer, so it's not recommended to dive here in the warmer months. The lake has an interesting topography, it does have a mild slop as you descend, but as you swim along there are big dips and rock piles. The deepest part of the lake is only 108 feet. There's some washrooms there and picnic benches near the beach.
There's a flight of stairs going from the parking lot to the beach. You can gear up at your car and walk down to the water, but we think the best method is to carry your gear down to the benches and gear up near the water.
