This shore dive spot near Perth, Western Australia, is accessible from a carpark at the end of Riseley Road in Naval Base. It's perfect for an easy beach entry to the jetty, though there are no toilet facilities. Ideal for both day and night dives, it can be enjoyed in most weather conditions, especially with easterly winds and a swell of 1.5 m or less. Visibility varies, so be prepared. Swim out to the jetty and descend on pillars teeming with marine life, including soft corals, sponges, seahorses, and colorful nudibranchs. The variety of fish is impressive, with many critters visible on most dives. Night dives are particularly rewarding as more marine life appears. Bring a dive flag due to occasional boat traffic. Watch out for rubbish and debris from the jetty's working days; the metal can interfere with compasses, but this shouldn't be a problem as you're close to shore and can easily navigate back.
