Scuba Diving

최송현 (Song-Hyun Choi)

Actress / PADI Instructor

Biography

Song-Hyun Choi debuted as an actress in her native Korea in 2006, and has since appeared in numerous Korean TV shows and movies. Song fell in love with scuba diving in 2012 during a short vacation from a heavy filming schedule for a TV show, and the ocean has been a healing shelter for her ever since – she feels revitalized whenever she reconnects with scuba diving and and the marine animals.

Song eventually completed her PADI TEC 50 and PADI Tec Sidemount courses before becoming a PADI Instructor in 2015. Now, she also “acts” as a private ambassador for scuba diving and freediving in Korea, and Korean TV shows and news outlets have featured video clips and photos of her scuba diving and freediving.

Song is an active Youtube creator, traveling to lesser-known diving destinations (to Koreans) on other continents, sharing her dive experiences including the diving culture, etiquette and ocean conservation message on her Youtube channel. “As an AmbassaDiver, I would like to share my diving activities with people, and hopefully stimulate them to experience diving,” said Song. “This way they can encounter Nature and likewise be healed from the hustle and bustle of modern urban life.”
