Diving in Roatan and Utila, Honduras offers some of the best underwater experiences in the Caribbean. Just 30 miles off the coast, Roatan diving features vibrant coral reefs, shipwrecks, caves, and dramatic wall dives. Marine life includes grey reef sharks, hammerheads, nurse sharks, whale sharks, plus frequent sightings of eagle rays and manta rays. Utila, smaller and less developed, is famous for whale shark encounters, especially during migration seasons. Most of Utila’s dive sites are on the calm southern coast, offering walls, caves, and caverns ideal for all levels of scuba diving.
