Diving in Gran Canaria offers an incredible mix of stunning dive sites and diverse marine life. Popular spots like El Cabron, Tufia, Pasito Blanco, Como Tu, and Risco Verde boast clear waters and fascinating volcanic reefs, perfect for exploring both beginner and advanced dives. These sites are rich in marine life, including schools of colorful fish, rays, and octopuses, creating unforgettable underwater experiences.
In the winter months, Gran Canaria becomes a hotspot for spotting angel sharks, one of the island’s most exciting and rare species. With warm, calm waters and abundant marine life, Gran Canaria offers divers the chance to experience its unique underwater world throughout the year.
Diving is year round in the south of Gran Canaria.
Water temperatures vary from around 16 degrees celcius in winter (January to March) to 24 degrees celcius in summer (August to October). As there is sunshine almost every day comfort levels are quickly restored after exposure to cool water during longer dives.
