Official Underwater Clean-up Details

 

Divers from across the United States and around the world are coming together in an attempt to break the world record for the largest underwater cleanup. More than 700 divers are expected to take part in the record attempt in Deerfield Beach, Florida, USA on 15 June 2019. Register now and choose one of the three ways to participate – Group Leader, Certified Diver or Volunteer.

How to Participate

Step 1

Register Today

Use the registration link and follow the checkout process to reserve your space as a certified diver. Once registered, you will receive an email confirming your reservation as an official Guinness World Record attempt participant.

Step 2

Gather and Inspect Dive Gear

As a certified diver, you will be required to bring:

• 1 Full Tank of Air or Nitrox
• Scuba Certification Card
• Mask, Fins and Snorkel
• Exposure Protection, Gloves and Weight
• BCD, Regulator and Computer (if applicable)
• Cutting Tools and Compass
• Ensure all your gear is properly maintained and ready to dive on 15 June 2019.

Step 3

Get Ready To Dive

Certified diver check-in will begin at 7:30 AM on 15 June 2019 at Deerfield Beach International Fishing Pier. It is advised to show up early as parking is limited. There will be 90 free parking spaces in the main parking lot available first-come, first-served. The dive will commence from 9AM-11AM and upon completion, each registered, certified diver will receive a L/S UV event shirt, goodie bag and eligibility to apply for the Guinness World Record certificate.
