A group of six former military ships lie just a few meters off the shore in Ksamil. These ships were intentionally sunk by the Albanian government several years ago to create an underwater park for divers to explore the history of communism. The sunken ships can be found at depths ranging from 16 meters (52ft) to 30 meters (98 ft), and still contain remnants of their armaments such as machine guns, engines, and cannons.Diving at these shipwrecks is an unforgettable experience, with good visibility (usually around 15 meters or 49ft) and water temperature at a comfortable 17°C (62°F).
