Ronilacki Klub Danubius

RK Danubius (Danubius Diving Club) is located in Novi Sad, Serbia, has been operating since 1974. We set off somewhat in an unusual way for our circumstances at the time, as a club of mainly former military and police employees, with some basic diving equipment and a lot of enthusiasm. After years and years of improvement and growth, in 2024 we are celebrating our 50 th anniversary as one of themost respected and most equipped diving club in the region.

Our work is underlined by more than 3000 satisfied certified divers. In 2002 (ili 2004), we switched to PADI education and soon joined the largest diving association on the planet.  Our instructors and other trained personnel are diving professionals with PADI certificates. The main goal of RK Danubius is to present diving as a sport and as an activity to the wider population in the best possible way. We provide diving programs for children (12 years and older) and adults, diving excursions to certified divers and all types of PADI courses (OWD, AOWD, Rescue, Divemaster). The diving club offers diving in an environment that boils down to diving in lakes and rivers. Throughout the year, regular diving trainings are being held in the indoor swimming pools of SPENS Sports Center in Novi Sad. With the arrival of the summer season, RK Danubius is regularly organizing diving excoursions to interesting locations on seas and lakes. The main freshwater diving locations include Ledinačko lake, Perućac lake, Zaovine lake and Ada Ciganlija oxbow lake. Thanks to good cooperation with dive centers in the region, the RK Danubius have sucessfully organized, and is organizing open water dives in the Adriatic Sea: Hvar (Croatia), Jaz and Žanjice (Montenegro), as well as Adriatic Sea diving Safari (one week boat trip, visiting the most beautiful dive sites in off the Dalmatian coast of Croatia); but also in the Red Sea (Egypt), and Mediterranean Sea (Malta). Providing such diverse diving opportunities is enabled by having up to date diving equipment of highest quality. RK Danubius owns a diving air compressor (upgraded to 300 bars), regularly attested scuba tanks and 300 bar regulators, all sizes of male, female and children’s wet suits, BCD’s, mask, fins and weights. Two inflatable rubber boats (5,2 m and 4,2 m). provide mobility during the dives. For those who need it, at RK Danubius it is also possible to rent complete diving equipment.
