PADI Dive Center
Dive and contribute to real marine conservation research in one of the world’s most biodiverse ocean ecosystems.
Madagascar Research & Conservation Institute (MRCI) is a nonprofit conservation organization based on Nosy Komba, Madagascar, combining PADI dive training with coral restoration, reef monitoring, turtle conservation, and marine research.
Whether you are learning to dive for the first time or pursuing Divemaster training, every dive directly supports long-term conservation initiatives in northwest Madagascar. Our dive centre forms part of the MRCI and is open to all volunteers participating in our programs. We offer PADI Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver, Emergency First Response and Divemaster courses.
MRCI was established in 2013 and is a non-profit government-approved organization. We are based in the Northwest of Madagascar on the small island of Nosy Komba, a short distance from the bigger island of Nosy Be, surrounded by pristine white sand beaches and flourishing reefs.
At MRCI, we undertake environmental research, community development and education. Our programs range from marine, forest and turtle conservation to teaching English and construction infrastructure in remote villages.
