Two Fish Divers Penida

Two Fish Divers Penida is a PADI 5 Star IDC Center on the north-east coast of Nusa Penida, Bali. We run fun diving and the full range of PADI courses including Discover Scuba, Open Water, Advanced, Rescue, specialty courses including Nitrox, Divemaster & Instructor. The currents around Penida are unpredictable, so we cap our entry-level courses — Discover Scuba and Open Water — at two students to one instructor. As Steve, our Bali Director, puts it, you can't have more guests than you have hands.

We dive the manta and mola-mola sites that made Bali diving famous, and we have the less-dived east coast sites on our doorstep, where the reefs are intact and the fish life is dense.

The centre is in Batumulapan, a working village rather than a resort strip. No beach clubs, no scooter queues at Kelingking — the day-trip crowds are all on the west side, and by late afternoon the road outside is mostly kids coming home from school. We work with three accommodation partners on the island, La Roja Bungalows, Favourit Villas and Alana Hotel, all with air conditioning, hot water and a pool. We have our own training pool at the dive centre that allows us to do all confined training at our base before heading out for open water training at real dive sites.

Every dive trip and course includes:

- Fun diving with a maximum of 4 divers to 1 guide, often 2 to 1

- Discover Scuba and Open Water with a maximum of 2 students to 1 instructor

- All other courses with a maximum of 4 students to 1 instructor, often 2 to 1

- Solo travellers welcome — one person signing up for a dive or course is enough for us to run it

- Confined water training in our own pool at the dive centre, open water training dives at real dive sites

- Dive computer rental is included on every course, and dive insurance is included on every beginner course

- Oxygen on every boat

- Drinking water and snacks in surface intervals

We are one of the five PADI 5 Star Resorts & Dive Centers of Two Fish Divers across Indonesia - Sanur, Amed and Nusa Penida in Bali, and Bunaken and Lembeh in North Sulawesi. Two Fish is family-run — Tina and Nigel opened the first centre on Bunaken in 2001 and still run all five. We are not a chain and we do not try to be one.

You can earn points at any of our dive centres and redeem them for a free dive at any of our other dive centres, from Bali to North Sulawesi. You can also spend your points on entries to our annual competition for loyalty members, with prizes like a $1,000 dive computer.

You can also organise a safari trip with us where you can dive two or three of our centres on one trip, and we handle all the transfers and rooms between them.

We have been diving in Indonesia for more than 25 years, teaching more than 15,000 people to scuba dive, and taking people diving on more than 100,000 dives. We would love you to join them.
