Kalymnos Diving

Our diving center is located in the southwestern part of the island, about 3 kilometers from the port of Kalymnos in the area of Vlychadia. There are two beautiful beaches, one with pebbles and the other with sand, but both have relatively shallow waters and are therefore particularly suitable for families with small children. In Vlychadia you will find plenty of trees for shade after your dives as well as rooms for rent, taverns and cafes. An important attraction is the private Valsamidis Marine Artifacts Museum which presents exhibits related to sponge diving, a wide variety of sea plants and animals. Also an entire wreck of an ancient merchant ship with amphorae and other objects (6th to 2nd centuries BC), naval findings from the First and Second World War as well as a photographic collection of approximately 2,000 photographs related to the history and tradition of sponges.
