Water Quest

WaterQuest is a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Center strategically located at the entrance to Lake Coatepeque, one of El Salvador’s most spectacular volcanic crater lakes.

We offer recreational diving, Discover Scuba Diving experiences, PADI courses, continuing education and professional-level training throughout the year at Lake Coatepeque.

Lake Coatepeque offers warm freshwater diving, volcanic underwater landscapes and a unique environment for both new and experienced divers.

WaterQuest also has diving facilities at Playa Los Cóbanos, on El Salvador’s Pacific coast. From December through February, we organize scuba diving tours in the Pacific Ocean for certified divers, offering a completely different underwater experience with marine life, reefs and rocky formations.

We can also organize special diving trips to Lake Ilopango by prior arrangement, where divers can explore fascinating underwater attractions, including submerged religious statues and other unique dive sites. Ilopango trips are scheduled according to logistics and minimum participation.

Training is led by Álvaro Pazos, PADI Course Director, with decades of experience training recreational divers and diving professionals. Our priority is not simply earning a certification, but developing safe, confident and well-trained divers.
