Blackbeard’s Morning Star liveaboard offers affordable diving adventures in the Bahamas, focusing on camaraderie and exploration rather than luxury. For over 35 years, this 65 ft. sailing sloop has been taking divers to the Exuma Cays, with up to 19 dives per week including shark encounters.

Accommodation is dormitory style, with single or double berths equipped with privacy curtains, air-conditioning, and a casual, social atmosphere often described as “camping at sea.” Meals are served buffet-style, with three daily meals, snacks, and fresh fruit.

The vessel carries up to 22 passengers and is crewed by two captains, a divemaster, and a chef. Between dives, guests can relax in the air-conditioned lounge, watch movies, sunbathe, or rest in shaded deck areas. Courses from beginner to advanced are available on board; nitrox is not offered.
