PADI 5 Star Dive Center
Sundive Byron Bay is a PADI 5-Star Dive Centre located in the heart of Byron Bay, Australia, operating since 1988. We run daily dives at Nguthungulli Julian Rocks Marine Park — rated one of Australia's top ten dive sites — just 2.5 kilometres offshore from Byron Bay.
The mixing of tropical warm currents with cooler temperate waters makes the diving near Byron Bay unique, with over 1,000 recorded species of tropical, temperate and pelagic fish. Whales, dolphins, manta rays, leopard sharks, turtles and the endangered grey nurse shark all call this place home.
We offer three daily dive departures (7:15 AM, 10:00 AM and 1:15 PM), snorkelling, Try Scuba intro dives, PADI Reactivate refresher courses, and the full range of PADI courses from Open Water through to Divemaster. During whale season (June–November) we also run guided humpback whale watching tours departing at 7:45 AM and 9:45 AM.
Our team of experienced PADI Instructors and Divemasters are passionate about marine conservation and the Byron Bay reef ecosystem. Sundive is also active in leopard shark research at Julian Rocks.
