Official Rules


PADI Master Scuba Diver™ Challenge (“Challenge”) is open to all residents in the U.S, Canada, Latin America and Caribbean only who, during the Challenge promotion (1 May 2018 to 30 September 2018), earn their PADI Master Scuba Diver or Junior Master Scuba Diver™ Ratings. *All Master Scuba Diver applications must be received and processed no later than 15 October to qualify*. Employees, and family members of employees, of PADI Worldwide Corp. and all related and affiliate companies, globally, are not eligible for the Challenge. Challenge is void where restricted or otherwise prohibited by law. Entrants under the age of 18 years of age must have their parent’s or legal guardian’s consent to be declared a winner.

The 1,200th diver issued a Master Scuba Diver certification by PADI (“Winning Diver”) during the Challenge promotion period will win a dive vacation for two to Anthony’s Key Resort in Roatan, Honduras.

General Rules and Conditions

By participating in the Challenge, Entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules. Winners (Winning Diver and/or Instructor) (“Winners”), and Winning Diver’s guest, will be required to sign and complete a Publicity Release & Affidavit of Eligibility, and a Liability Release, and return it to PADI within 30 days of notification, otherwise their prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate Entrant. Winners give PADI unlimited rights to use winners’ name, picture and likeness, and testimonials globally, in advertising and publicity for this Challenge and for any other PADI use, without further compensation, where permitted by local law.

Such use may include but is not limited to PADI YouTube Channel and related scuba YouTube Channels, PADI Pro Blog/Facebook, Twitter, Instagram,, Dear Fellow Diver™, and press releases. All taxes, including but not limited to local, state and federal taxes, are the sole responsibility of the winners. No substitution of prize is permitted. PADI’s decision and selection of the Winners shall be final.

How to Enter

Enroll and complete the PADI Master Scuba Diver Rating during the Challenge promotion period.


The prize for the Winning Diver is a dive trip for two people to Anthony’s Key Resort in Roatan, Honduras. The details below will be provided for the Winning Diver and Winning Divers' guest. (A minor Winning Diver must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.)

  • Round-trip coach airfare to Roatan, Honduras including all taxes and fees. (valued at up to $US 1,500 per person)
  • One week all-inclusive 2-person stay at Anthony’s Key Resort in Roatan, Honduras (valued at US $1,832 per person):

    • Full American Meal Plan (3 meals daily)

Terms and Conditions: Trip must be taken between 1 January 2019 – 31 December 2019 or trip will be forfeited. Trip must be booked through PADI within 90 days of Winner notification. Excludes holidays. There is no cash value for this prize, and no substitution of prize is permitted.

Exclusions: Incidental expenses such as phone, internet, mini-bar, room service, movie rental, alcoholic beverages, additional meals and snacks, tips and gratuities are Winners’ and Winning Diver’s guest’s responsibility.

Tips and gratuities for all experiences are not included and are Winners’ and Winning Diver’s guest’s responsibility.

Winner Selection

Diver receiving the 1,200th Master Scuba Diver certification issued by PADI during the Challenge promotion period will win. Winner is solely responsible for all tax liabilities. Winner will be notified by email, telephone and/or mail. PADI is not responsible for lost or misdirected or Winner’s postage due mail. PADI or its affiliates may rescind any promotion found to contain errors, without liability, at their sole discretion.

This Challenge shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California exclusive of its choice of laws’ principles. The California State courts of Orange County or the United States District Court for the Southern District of California shall have exclusive jurisdiction and venue over any dispute arising out of or relating to this Challenge.
