Explore diving in Ras Mohamed
About 20 km south of Sharm El Sheikh lies Ras Mohammed. The Ras Mohammed National Park offers some of the best scuba diving in the Red Sea and in Egypt.
Surrounded by fringing coral reefs that emerged after a change in the coastline 70,000 years ago, Ras Mohammed is characterised by vertical overhangs at least 100m deep.
Grey and black tip reef sharks cruise through these waters as well as huge numbers of reef fish and some larger pelagic such as tunas.
