AquaMarine Diving Bali

2022 PADI AWARE Grantee

The Blue Project by AquaMarine Diving – Bali is dedicated to ensuring robust protection for Bali's coastal and marine environments while improving public awareness and minimizing marine threats.

Blue Project provides educational programs for local schools, coral restoration coverages, turtle and mangrove conservation, and reliable Dive Against Debris data for the community.

AquaMarine - Diving Bali created Blue Project to recover valuable ecosystems in order to achieve the 30x30 goals by reducing marine threats.

Funds from the PADI AWARE Community Grant enabled AquaMarine Diving – Bali to expand their Blue Project initiatives resulting in the installation of 45 reef structures (MARRS) in Padang Bai.

Through Blue Project, they worked to educate the next generation of ocean stewards in Bali by conducting school visits and collaborating with Mangrove Nusantara (MATA) to publish an educational book for 8 to 12-year-old readers about the coastal environment and the importance of mangrove ecosystem.

They worked to engage and support the local community to drive more active participation in ocean conservation. They provided marketing kids to support fostering the sea turtle population, hosted environmental webinars, and conducted monthly clean-up events including beach clean-ups, Dives Against Debris, and coral monitoring. AquaMarine Diving – Bali successfully removed 146.94 kgs of shore debris and 217.325 kgs of underwater debris in 2023.
