Biography

Adventurer and Advanced Open Water Diver Viridiana Alvarez Chavez believes in inspiring by example. After spending 10 years working behind a desk in the manufacturing industry, she made a major lifestyle change: “One day, I realized that nothing exciting was happening in my life. I began running 10 km, then progressed to marathons, triathlons, mountain biking, and mountaineering for 8 years until I encountered the ocean through diving, my next project in life. Viridiana fell in love with the ocean on her first dive. She hopes more people make the blue planet connection through diving because, “We can only protect what we love, and we only love what we understand.” Her biggest dream is for all of us to leave the world better than we found it, especially when it comes to nature.Guinness World Record for the fastest ascent of the three highest mountains in the world: Everest, K2, and Kanchenjunga.
