Liz Parkinson

Spokeswoman / Stuntwoman / PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer / PADI Advanced Freediver Instructor

Biography

Growing up as a competitive swimmer, Liz Parkinson has always had a natural love for the water. So it only made sense for her to lean toward careers in the scuba and freediving worlds. “Being a dive instructor became my working passport to the world, and I started traveling and exploring,” Parkinson says. Today, she lives in the Bahamas with a long list of occupations under her weight belt including spokesperson for ocean conservation, stuntwoman and underwater photographer/model. Also on that list: managing Stuart’s Cove Dive Bahamas’ Save the Sharks, Save the Seas organization, and Project AWARE’s Run for Sharks team. Regardless of what a day’s itinerary entails for Parkinson, the one thing that matters most to her is shark conservation. “This has become an important part on my goal, to push conservation,” she says. “I want to use my voice and funnel the passion I have for the ocean into my community, and help in whatever way I can to bring awareness and valuable concern to our ocean environments.”
