Biography

Jennifer Idol is the first woman to dive all 50 US States, a journey she documented in her book, An American Immersion. “I help others understand the underwater world through my photography, design, and by sharing my exploration,” Idol says. But that’s not the only place you might recognize her work – in addition to participating in competitions and exhibits across the country, her photography and articles have also been published in a variety of media outlets including DIVER, Sport Diver, Alert Diver, Scuba Diving, X-Ray Mag, Outdoor Oklahoma, SCUBA & H2O Adventure, and Texas Aquatic Science.

  • Wrote An American Immersion, published through Best Publishing Company
  • Has earned 28 certifications including Master Scuba DiverTM Trainer Instructor, Full Cave, PADI Tec 65 (trimix), Cave DPV, and Ice Diver
