Born and raised on the island of Orust, on the west coast of Sweden, Birgitta Mueck attributes her early curiosity and interest for what was hidden beneath the surface of the North Sea to the constant smell of salt water. Her incredible passion for nature and wilderness led Birgitta to an education in wilderness tourism and nature photography. Since graduation, she has spent the majority of her time in the field as an underwater camera operator, guide and PADI Divemaster. Together with her father, Armin, and sister, Nanna, Birgitta runs Crystal Water Film Production, a Swedish film company that produces underwater films in collaboration with Scandinavian National Televisions. “Through my work I want to share my immense passion for the wonderful planet we are living on, to inspirit life, raise awareness and inspire others,” Birgitta says.
