Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst will primarily provide critical support and analysis to the Finance Manager in the areas of business planning and analysis, and Capital Expense management and tracking. The candidate identified for this position will help serve a role in ensuring the Company meets its profitability targets and strategic objectives.

What You'll Be Doing

Business Planning and Analysis

  • Support, analyze, and assist in the preparation and review of the Company’s annual operating budget including:
    • Detailed support and analysis of the Company’s revenue forecast and departmental budgets
    • Detailed support and analysis of balance sheet forecasts and the associated cash flow forecasts
    • Assist in the development of presentations to help summarize the budget results in a comprehensive and easy-to-understand format.
  • Assist in monthly analysis and review of the Company’s actual financial results compared to the annual operating budget to identify and develop explanations for key variances and to identify favorable or unfavorable trends.
  • Assist in the consolidation of financials from PADI subsidiaries for monthly financials, annual budgets, and re-forecasts.
  • Maintenance of the financial model for the consolidated enterprise that enables reporting versus budgets and forecasts on a monthly basis and in various foreign currency rates.
  • Maintenance of the monthly reporting model for the subsidiaries of PADI and work with the international subsidiary teams to understand and rationalize results reported on this reporting model.
  • Evaluate trends in foreign currency rates and present analyses highlighting the impact that these foreign currencies have on the business.
  • Assist in the development of ad hoc forecasts of the business to assist management in the understanding of potential outlooks for the year.
  • Other ad hoc requests as needed.
Capital Expense Management
  • Support, analyze, and assist in the preparation and review of the Company’s annual CapEx budget and re-forecasts.
  • Assist in monthly analysis and review of the Company’s actual CapEx spend compared to the annual budget to identify and develop explanations for key variances and to identify favorable or unfavorable trends.
  • Assist in the consolidation of CapEx from PADI subsidiaries for monthly financials, annual budgets, and re-forecasts.
  • Invoice-level tracking and analysis of CapEx by project.
  • Contractor tracking and analysis by CapEx project.
  • Development and maintenance of the CapEx model for the consolidated enterprise that enables reporting versus budgets and forecasts on a monthly basis and in various foreign currency rates.
  • Assist in the development of ad-hoc CapEx forecasts of the business to assist management in the understanding of mid-year outlooks for the year.
  • Other ad hoc requests as needed.
Skills and Experience You’ll Need to Be Successful In This Role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in related functions
  • Demonstrated accounting knowledge including intercompany transactions
  • Best-of-Class Excel skills including the use of complex formulas (visual basic skills a plus)
  • Financial modeling (including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flows) experience
  • Thorough understanding of financial statements and their associated interrelationships
  • Experience working for a multi-national company including experience working with foreign currencies and the translation of these currencies
  • Experience working with a consolidated group of companies and the consolidation of those companies
  • Experience working with an ERP system including data uploading and data extraction
    • Host Analytics / Spotlight experience a plus.
  • Experience in other Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint and Word
  • Strong analytical and logical problem solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication and relational skills with ability to deal with various levels of personnel
  • Organizational and project management skills
  • Extremely detail oriented
  • Good judgment, discretion, and tact in managing highly confidential information
